After searching around on the internet for interesting geometric patterns, I chose this one and decided to experiment with some scrap material to see if it could be possible to make this pattern. It was a challenge, and once i had made all of the precision cuts and began the glueing process, I found two scrap pieces and made a table saw fence jig for the next time I decide to make this pattern. Next time it will have a much more consistent and accurate alignment. Once I had a board made with this pattern I decided to cut it into a circle for use as a trivet and gave it to my friends Frank and Andrea as a gift for their recent commission of a mountain range pattern end-grain cutting board.
